Well, Elysium is what I think should be the ultimate in useability for any user interface. It has been designed from the ground up to be intuitive. Tabs like firefox/ie7 for your open tasks, contextual custom start menu's (more on that later) a system info area and slick graphics. Its a pretty simple and self explanatory theme.
INSTALLATION
You MUST propogate the start menus. This is done by going to the theme folder and putting your own working shortcuts into the STARTMENU folder's subfolders. This is essentially building your own start menu. Also, you MUST add an evar for litestep called "burning" for the burning button to work. I think thats about it.
FEATURES
*autohiding taskbar. When not in use it will slide out of view *Nearly every transition is smooth and alphafaded.
NOTE!!!!!! This is an EARLY BETA of the LITESTEP THEME! it does NOT include the elysium windowblinds, which I am still heavily developing.
FEATURES TO COME -Winamp controls (though these will be toggled on/off as most people use cd cover art) -Maybe desktop icons -Whatever you suggest
Any suggestions for improvements please post them.
Hope you enjoy it!

P.S. INSTALL THE FONT! (in misc folder)
PPS: All my works are OPEN SOURCE! that means you can edit, modify, and redistribute as you like WITHOUT my permission so long as you mention me as the original author! Enjoy!
I'm pretty sure I'm doing something stupid, it's my first time using litestep. I've managed to get 3 other themes working (including your reflection theme) but this one just won't run.
When I try and load it litestep's CPU usage goes to 99%. It loads the bar at the bottom (with nothing on it) and crashes. I followed all of the installation instructions apart from the one about adding an evar for the burning button. I'm not entirely sure how to do that one, could that be the reason the whole thing isn't working?!
Thought I'd report it to you, just to be helpful!
I'll keep watching the progress of the build as this shell is starting to look amazing, I just wish I could make it work!
Thats a really strange problem there. Did all the modules autoinstall from the net? Also, the evar MAY be the problem but im not sure. Do you have multi monitor? whats the resolution on your main one? -Ash
You mean the fade in? if you take a look at the theme.rc there is a line to change that. At the very top somewhere is a line called globalfading_customalphafade 20 1 Change the 20 and the 1 to whatever values you like. Try, for instance 50 1 i think? -Ash
This is quite nice, it is very usable and super organized. I haven't noticed a auto hiding taskbar yet though... also could you make a VS also instead of just Windowblinds?

It's very interesting.
+ The tabs and top bar.
- The startmenu is a bit slow.
At the very top somewhere is a line called globalfading_customalphafade 20 1
Change the 20 and the 1 to whatever values you like.
